Do you know any students keen to make a difference? Are they passionate about climate change, global poverty or human rights?
Trinity College runs the Young Leaders for Social Justice program in the July holidays, which develops leadership skills associated with grassroots movements for social justice, such as equality, democracy and transformation in young people. With world-class speakers, hands-on excursions, workshops and discussion groups, students learn how to make a difference as citizens and leaders. The program is ideal for secondary school students in, or moving into, leadership roles in their schools.
Key guest speakers from 2011 included: Julian Burnside AO QC, Philip Wollen OAM, Kerry Arabena, CEO of the Lowitja Institute, Richard Fleming, founder of Live Below the Line and Zoe Whatt, General Manager of SecondBite.
