The annual Gap Medics Australia Student
Special starts on the 6th January 2013, a
unique opportunity for pre-medical students from years 11 and 12 to gain
relevant work experience and have a truly amazing and fully supported trip
to Tanzania or
India.
If you are you thinking of applying to study medicine in the near future or have been accepted to medical school and want to get some real world experience of your subject then Gap Medics is absolutely the right choice for you!
From the 6th January 2013 we are inviting along Australian Students for for an amazing program of 2 to 4 week placements where you will have weekdays immersed in a working hospital environment learning from your mentoring Doctors and Specialist’s as they go about their usual work in the hospital.
Evenings and weekends are fun free time for you to relax, get to know your fellow students and enjoying the outstanding facilities at the Gap medics student house, weekends are also spent enjoying the local culture and seeing the sites, how about a Safari in some of Tanzania’s most breathtaking national parks or maybe a short trip to take in the splendour of the Taj Mahal in India..??..
Not only will a Gap medics placement give you real world experience of life as a medical professional giving you a great head start in your studies and a huge advantage in med school applications but it will also provide an amazing opportunity for personal and professional development, increasing your confidence and independence and also just having a fantastic experience along the way!

SACE Science exam preparation
SASTA EXAM PREP SEMINARS – Year 12 Students
can now register!
Could you please advise your students that the following Exam Prep Seminars for Stage 2 will be held at the Education Development Centre, Milner Street, Hindmarsh in August.
Could you please advise your students that the following Exam Prep Seminars for Stage 2 will be held at the Education Development Centre, Milner Street, Hindmarsh in August.
- Biology
& Physics: Saturday 4 August from 3:00 pm – 5:00 pm;
- Chemistry
& Geology: Saturday 11 August from 3:00 pm – 5:00 pm;
- Psychology
& Nutrition: Saturday 18 August from 3:00 pm – 5:00 pm.
Students are encouraged to register online at http://www.sasta.asn.au/student_activities/year_12_exam_prep_seminars to secure their seat. Cost:$10.00 if you register online or pay $12.00 at the door. Teachers accompanying a class are free. Students are requested to bring their Study Guides with them.
