There are 13 Year 12 prizes awarded each year for service, leadership and all round development and performance. Prizes are awarded against criteria and are decided upon by the Year 12 Coordinator in consultation with other staff members, including Head of Senior School and Dean of Studies.
The exceptions to this process are the Frank Hunter Prize, and The Prefects Prize for Effort and Application. The Frank Hunter Prize requires a nomination and a student vote. The Prefects Prize is decided upon by the Prefects.
Recipients of these prizes will be notified, along with their parents, to be presented with their Prize at one of the Assemblies in Term 3. This is an ideal opportunity to recognise Year 12 student achievement in the presence of the rest of the school.
More information about these prizes will be communicated through Pastoral Care Teachers or by approaching Mr Parker.
The Frank Hunter Prize is awarded to the student adjudged by his peers to have offered, through his leadership, the most positive contribution to the school, particularly to Year 12. This prize is open to all students in Year 12 except the school captain.
Students are invited to nominate candidates for this prize, from which the voting slips will be prepared. Each nomination must be signed by the nominee to indicate that he is prepared to accept the nomination.
