End of Semester 1

Congratulations Year 12 students on a highly successful first semester. Thank you for your enthusiasm and commitment to your studies, your leadership example, and your endeavour in co-curricular activities. It is wonderful to see so many boys doing all they can to maximise their potential.

Year 12 boys and their parents will soon receive their Semester One Report. I have previewed these and I am delighted with the many outstanding results from our SACE and IB Diploma students. Every student can take away some positives from their efforts so far as we build on these in preparation for a demanding third term. For some students, their Report will be a valuable source for reflection where deficits can be analysed and addressed during the holidays. This may mean choosing to catch up on work, re submit drafts or attending holiday tuition.

This three week break is an important one. Students should enjoy a well-earned rest from the routines of school to recharge, but they also should be making a genuine commitment to engage in dedicated study. With only 10 weeks of classes remaining it is imperative that all students return to school refreshed and up to date with their studies.

As Intercols and Spring fast approach I look forward to all students gaining a little more momentum and a tail wind as they head towards the our final assessments and examinations.

Enjoy the break gentleman, stay safe and we will see you later in July, ready for your best efforts in Term 3.

Mr Parker
