SACE special provisions,illness, misadventure

 All SACE students should be using the form shown below for any absences during assessment tasks. This includes illness and misadventure and personal circumstances. Completing this form helps the school to support you when finalising moderation and internal assessments. Forms can be collected from your subject teachers, or from Mr Parker's office. Failure to complete these forms could affect or jeopardise your internal grades for both school reports and for moderation purposes.

KPMG Cadetship Program

A cadetship placement is available to students intending to study for a commerce or business degree majoring in accounting or information systems. This program includes both work and university commitments, which varies depending on your progress with the University course. Jason Fox Academic Performance Program: Tuesday May 17

Dr Jason Fox will be visiting us on Tuesday May 17 for a full day of Academic Performance coaching. A program is listed below. Please note that all spots for 1 to 1 coaching are now full, however, I am sure Jason would be happy to field any questions via e-mail throughout the year. The day concludes with a parent seminar from 7.00pm -8.00pm in the Piper Pavilion.

Temporary Parking Changes for Year 12 Student Car Park

The Middle School is introducing the eduKART Program in 2011 as an integral component of the Year 8 curriculum. The program will involve Year 8 boys building, refining and testing electric powered vehicles in the eduKART workshop located on the Parade West, opposite the back entrance to the College. Much of the testing during the construction phase will take place in the car park directly beside the workshop, the Year 12 car park.

The eduKART program will require the use of the Year 12 student car park during each of these weeks. We have made alternative car parking arrangements for Year 12 students for this time. They will use the staff car park in Little Flinders Street behind the Early Learning Centre. Special parking permits will be allocated and will need to be displayed during this time. These permits will be distributed by the Year 12 Coordinator, Mr Scott Parker.

Term 2 Pastoral Care Program

Jason Fox

Jason Fox has placed another PAC specific video online. It is in part, a reminder to boys to access the 10 hours of video footage he has on study skills and organisation, as well as an encouragement for the Year 12s of Princes to keep in communication with him-in particular, posting some questions. Jason has also provided a downloadable "cleverquester" for those boys interested.  Jason will re-visit us in May to work with both the Year 12 cohort and smaller groups. deatils to come.

UMAT support at Prince Alfred College

Current Year 12 student Albert Wu, and some previous old scholars including Yao Li and Owen Yang will be running a dedicated UMAT workshop on July 2nd and 3rd at PAC. This is a wonderful opportunity to gain an excellent head start in the UMAT process. The workshop is priced considerably lower the many other programs and includes a donation to the Sunrise Orphanage in Cambodia, as well as a money back guarantee(conditions apply!!).
